Vox Thailand Co is aiming to earn as much as one billion baht in revenue in Thailand's 20-billion baht IT accessory market this year.
CEO Peerasak Thongnarin says IT accessory firms need to offer appealing designs, which iswhy Vox has secured licensing deals with Warner Brothers and Sanrio among others for its products, which range from computer mice to flash drives and earphones.
The company also hopes to list on the Market for Alternative Investment (MAI) in early 2011 in a bid to raise 800 million baht to further develop the business.
Chief executive officer Peerasak Thongnarin said Vox was preparing for a full commercial launch on May 1, with the aim to earn 500 million baht in revenue this year plus an additional 500 million from exports.
Vox brand products include IT and digital accessories from optical and laser mice to computer keyboards, audio speakers and in-ear stereo, USB flash drives, adapters and cable.
The company has spent 10 million baht for licence-fee deals with Warner Brothers, Sanrio (Hello Kitty) and Bone to use their logos on Vox products.
Mr Peerasak said his company had hired one of the world's largest original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in Taiwan and China to produce Vox products. It has placed the first batch of orders worth 80 million baht. - bangkokpost
